Black base is hard rubber that won't crack or break. Swivel socket and pen holder are all chromed metal. 26" long ball chain secures black pen to base. Affixes to counter with tough double-coated adhesive. Metal tip on pen eliminates cracked tips. Choice of blue, medium-point or black, fine point ink. Chain-Riter pen uses standard refills.
